In Canada, there are over 75,000 deaths annually due to cardiovascular disease, many of them being premature. One preventative skill that should be learned by all care providers and non care providers is CPR. CPR is performed when a individuals heart and lungs have stopped working.
In the last 4 years, OYHC CPR instructors are acknowledged as the leaders in emergency cardiac care education courses, using the guidelines set by the Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada, developing educational tools and programs for care providers. Our extensive experience in emergency medicine allows for courses to be designed to our clients needs. At OYHC, all levels of CPR are taught:
1. ADULT - Starting from Adolescence or puberty
3. INFANT-less than one year old
1. ADULT CPR plus Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
We use only Laerdal mannequins to maximize learning and minimize the spread of infection. All certifications are provided from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec. We teach the new guidelines set forth in 2005, contact OYHC to get the latest and most updated research in Basic Life Support (BLS)
