Health Education
Wellness and Health education is a "COE", center of excellence,
within OYHC that comprises courses that surround the individual with the
necessary tools and knowledge to further enhance and reinforce confidence and
esteem.
COE
is a OYHC acronym and motto that stands for: Confidence, Optimism and
Enthusiasm. By using the tools provided within the course work and participation
within the support groups participants are able to grow, progress and develop
coping strategies to better deal with environmental stress, health and fitness
issues, and addictive behaviors.
This course is designed for those people who may answer "yes" to any following
questions:

Do you binge eat when depressed or do you have certain comfort foods you

Do you smoke or consume excesses amounts of alcohol or other drugs? |

Do you often blame others for your own misfortune? |

Have you experienced a recent death that causes you extreme sadness,

Participants will follow several steps and exercise to help them develop and
create healthy choices and positive lifestyle changes.
